EYFS - GLD

In Early Years – Reception class- children’s progress is measured throughout the year against a set of national standards or Early Learning Goals (ELGs). Children are given opportunities to learn through adult and child led activities to help them meet the criteria set out in each ELG. At the end of their year in Reception, children are assessed as having a Good Level of Development (GLD) if they have met each of their ELGs.
