School Visitor Safeguarding Guide

We welcome visitors to St Mary's and know that by inviting a range of people into school enhances the curriculum and provides exciting opprtunities for our children. 

We ensure that all safeguarding checks are completed to ensure that anyone that visits and enters our school, does so safely and with the intention of working with our community in a safe way. 

All visitors will be asked to provide a form of identification and will be accompanied by a member of staff at all times. 

Anyone working with children by themselves, such as music teachers or specialist and external providers will need a DBS to be completed and verified by us before they enter the school and provide two forms of ID. An induction will also need to be completed with the Head off School.
