School re-opening - all classes

Dear parents

My sincere apologies for the lateness of this email but we are working in a fast changing and complicated situation.

We are not able to fully open all classes to all children tomorrow and we are very sorry about this. This decision has not been taken lightly nor easily but having reviewed the situation, the governors and I feel that the safety of the children, our staff and the wider community is paramount.

From tomorrow (Monday 4th January) the following classes will be open to ALL children:

Year 3

Year 6

Preschool will also be open to all children.

The following classes will be open to children of Key workers  and children open to Social Services support/involvement ONLY:

Year 2

Year 4

Year 5

If your child is in one of these classes and you are a key worker or your child is considered vulnerable ( for example social worker supported)  then please email  and confirm that you will require a place for your child.

Year 1 is closed to all children until at least Wednesday 6th January and I am very sorry that we are unable to provide any provision for KW or vulnerable children in this class until at least Thursday of this week.

I know that this email comes to very late in the day and will doubtless cause you problems: we are sincerely sorry for this but it has simply not been possible to finalise any decisions until now.

I also know that many of you are anxious about sending your child into school: please be assured that we will continue to maintain as safe an environment as we are able to at school.

We are grateful as ever to you for your support and understanding.

Kind regards

Alison Langridge
