Country Dancing Festival

This week 14 children from Years 3 and 4 joined 23 schools and over 700 children from across the island at the annual Country Dancing Festival held at Havenstreet.

 

They danced to a range of traditional English and Scottish jigs including ‘The Barn Dance’, ‘Pat-a-cake Polka’, ‘The Gay Gordans’ and even ‘flossed’ to ‘I can’t stop the beat.’

 

The children were impeccably behaved and were a credit to themselves as well as St Mary’s. Well done everyone.
